The Genius, located on Kinkerstraat, brings Houben’s famous sausage rolls from Brabant to Amsterdam. Owner Marcel, from Tilburg, has exchanged his Brabant roots for Amsterdam this year and will treat you to the tastiest sausage rolls here.
Sausage rolls from Brabant
The Genius is run by Marcel from Tilburg. He has a passion for catering and this dream came true when he moved to Amsterdam this year. Despite this new environment above the rivers, he embraces his Brabant roots by offering sausage rolls at The Genius. Since the official opening this autumn, Brabanders and non-Brabanders regularly visit here to enjoy various sausage rolls.

Pimp your sausage bread
What makes the sausage rolls at The Genius extra special? Various toppings can be added to the sausage roll in the store. For example, you can opt for a ‘triple truffle’, a sausage roll with truffle, parmesan cheese, truffle mayonnaise, truffle chips and arugula. Or choose ‘The Genius’, a sandwich with minced legumes, vegan rendang and red chili pepper. If you can’t make a choice, Marcel can kindly advise you regarding the different options and flavors.

Enjoy Brabant delicacies at home
The sausage rolls are also available to warm up at home, perfect to surprise your (Brabant) friends or family with this delicacy. With just 6-8 minutes in the oven at 180 degrees, you can bring those Brabant flavors home!
A visit to The Genius equals fun. Especially at the weekend it can be busy with people coming in and out for a delicious snack or to enjoy coffee and a (pimped) sausage roll on the spot.
