THE FIRST TALKS

editing.

Cycle of conferences and experimental sessions MACHINE LEARNING x AUDIOVISUAL
In collaboration with the Master Media Design, HEAD – Geneva
Artificial intelligences that generate content (image, sound, video) are at the heart of debates, from the Hollywood screenwriters’ strike to European regulatory bodies. What does this creative Pandora’s box really contain? This cycle of meetings will establish the current state of artistic creation assisted by AI as well as a practical initiation where participants will be invited to experiment with this technology. These workshops will focus on worldbuilding, character design and trailer creation respectively and will not require any particular skills other than curiosity.

this new audiovisual grammar of livestream platforms, HEAD – Geneva will present its research project funded by the Gebert Rüf Foundation “Play to learn – A dialogue between video games and social sciences”, and the first conclusions resulting from it. A round table bringing together livestreamers to discuss their activities and content will conclude this event.

Female gaze VR: when techno-feminism takes over digital environments
While male gaze is a well-known and discussed notion for a decade, the new immersive scene is timidly but surely tackling the subject. Is immersive creation still conditioned by a reality dominated by male gaze, or do immersive technologies offer new propositions?
