The Gender Equality and Women’s Economic Empowerment Unit in the Directorate of Manpower in Beni Suef Governorate held a symposium entitled “Reproductive Health from a Religious and Health Perspective” at Crystal Factory for Ready-made Garments, East Nile, in cooperation with the Central Administration of the Azharite Beni Suef Region, the Azharite Wa’ath Region of Beni Suef, and the Directorate of Health and Population .
The symposium aims to clarify the role and position of women in the Islamic religion compared to before Islam, the importance of family planning in creating a healthy generation, and the state’s efforts to provide a health system worthy of the Egyptian citizen, in order to spread awareness to preserve the fabric of society represented in the family because it is the first nucleus of education Generations and building awareness of family planning from a religious perspective and the importance of organization for maternal and child health.
The symposium was organized under the auspices of the Grand Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and the Minister of Manpower, Muhammad Saafan, headed by Dr. Ramadan Hassan, head of the branch of the World Organization of Al-Azhar Graduates, and under the supervision of Sheikh Essam Hosni, Secretary-General of the organization’s branch, and coordinated by Hala Sayed, coordinator and public relations officer of the organization. In the presence of Dr. Abdel Latif, the first mentor of the Azharite preaching district of Beni Suef, Dr. Hanan Abdel Fattah, director of the Department of Information and Population Education at the Health Directorate, Umm Al Khair Shaaban, director of the Department of Equality, and Sherine Abdel Khaleq, director of the Beni Suef Employment Office.
Mohamed Anwar, Director of the Directorate of Manpower in Beni Suef Governorate, confirmed that this symposium comes within a series of seminars and workshops initiated by the Gender Equality Unit in the Directorate to spread the culture of safe work and how to secure the work environment, promote the principle of equal opportunities for women and support them and eliminate all forms of discrimination and violence once morest women in The society remained dominated by equal rights, the empowerment and protection of women, and their prominent role in building societies.
