This is an unusual story that the Orange motorway police have had to deal with. A 14-year-old child was forgotten by his parents on Saturday February 5 on theRoquemaure motorway rest area, in the Gard, reports France Blue.

At the end of the followingnoon, a family on their way to Montpellier is taking a break at this rest area on the A9. A few minutes to go to the bathroom and then everyone leaves. Except the 14-year-old boy who stays at the dock.

Problem: the teenager left his laptop in the car. He finally manages to warn an employee of the motorway company, but then confides that he knows neither his father’s number nor that of his mother. The employee then alerts the Orange motorway police who will use drastic measures: it is by going through social networks that they manage to warn friends of the parents who will succeed in reaching them. The parents quickly turn around and find their son before continuing on their way.

Moral of the story: it is often said that teenagers spend too much time on their mobile, but in certain situations, this tool can also be very useful.
