Gaza: Israel justifies its actions while being shamed in front of the international community for its brutal genocide and war crimes. Footage of hundreds of Palestinians captured from northern Gaza kneeling in the street wearing only their underwear and blindfolded was circulating in the social media.
Media such as BBC and Aljazeera reported that civilians including students were arrested in this way. According to reports, civilians and refugees are captured and tortured in this manner and taken to unknown locations. Various human rights organizations have criticized Israel’s treatment of prisoners as shocking and reminiscent of World War II.
Israel came out to justify its inhumane action amid growing international protests. Mark Regev, a senior adviser to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, argued that the hostages were kept in their underwear because of the hot weather in the Middle East. He was responding to the question of journalists in this regard.

‘First of all, remember that this is the Middle East and it’s hot here, especially during the day when it’s sunny, isn’t it nice to be asked to take off your shirt, but it’s not the end of the world’ – Regev responded. Meanwhile, Israel released the names of five soldiers killed during the war in Gaza. The attack on October 7 killed one soldier who was being treated for injuries and four soldiers in southern Gaza.
The U.N. said 36 percent of Gaza’s population is in dire straits. Health Department spokesman Ashraf Al-Khudra said that there is not a single safe place in Gaza.
