This year once more, the Cologne fair will once once more award the gamescom prizes. In a total of 19 categories, among others, the most anticipated games of the show will take place, and now we also know which contestants belong to them. The “gamescom Goes Green Award” category is also new this year.

When is the prize giving? The Consumer Awards, Best Lineup and Heart of Gaming will be presented on August 27 in the gamescom studio. It goes without saying that not just any game can be nominated for the gamescom awards; it must be playable in the public space from August 24. If you are there, you can test all the titles listed here. Shooter Metal: Hellsinger leads the games list with a total of four nominations, while Microsoft leads the publishers with five nominations.

This year, gamescom will not only take place online, but also on location in Cologne. A few major publishers such as Sony or Nintendo will not be represented, but exhibitors will include Microsoft, Ubisoft and Bandai Namco.
