Clausura 2024: The games left until the end of the Guatemalan soccer league
The 2024 Clausura Tournament is in its final stretch. For now, Antigua GFC is the only team with a guaranteed presence in the dispute for the title.

There is less and less left to know the teams that will make up the final phase of the 2024 Clausura Tournament of Guatemalan football.
For now, the Antigua GFC team is the only one with a guaranteed ticket to the main festival since following their victory 3 goals to 0 over Comunicaciones and following the tie between Zacapa and Xelajú on matchday 13, they reached 28 points, an amount that allows them to remain among the top eight in the table even if they lose their remaining matches.
The rest of the teams that will seek to integrate the final phase are Imperial Coban, Mixco, Communications, Municipal, Xinabajul, Achuapa, Malacateco, Xelaju MC and Guastatoya.
Those closest to sealing their classification are Cobán and Mixco, since by adding three and four more points (out of a possible 9) they will enter the fight for the title.
On the contrary, Xelajú (ninth) and Guastatoya (tenth), although they are out of the final phase, still have options to enter the top eight if they manage to win their pending matches and the results of the other teams accompany them. The superchivo team has four duels to play: Municipal (home), Achuapa (home), Antigua (visit) and Mixco (home).
The Communications and Municipal cases are exceptional since both clubs rescheduled some games and therefore must catch up. The white team already played once morest Zacapa in one of those duels and tied 2-2.
Even so, Comunicaciones has four games to play (Mixco, Guastatoya, Municipal and Achuapa). If he manages to obtain victories, he might even think of the lead since for now he is fourth with 22 points.
Municipal, for its part, has five games left to play and aspires to 15 more points. The calendar includes a visit to Xelajú, two home games once morest Malacateco and Xinabajul Huehue and the tournament will close with two visits: vs Comunicaciones and Coatepeque.
