Here’s how to play co-op in Horizon Forbidden West
Like many PlayStation exclusives (God of War, Days Gone, The Last of Us Part II…), Horizon Forbidden West is exclusively playable solo. Well, in theory. Because a feature called “co-pilot mode” does indeed allow you to explore the adventure for two. This is simply found in the options menu, general tab.
How does it work? Don’t expect to see a second character appear on screen and see this one split in two, like in the best co-op games. In reality, this mode allows you to connect a second controller so that two players can control Aloy, both in the exploration phases and in combat. A good way to share a moment for two, as a couple or as a family, for example. Or to make the confrontations easier, but if that will require very good coordination.
