The Galaxy S23 FE would reserve us a good surprise in the photo

A Galaxy S23 FE would be well in the making at Samsung. If the information concerning it remains sporadic, we learn that it could bet on the same photo sensor as its cousin the “classic” Galaxy S23. Good news in perspective.

After a moderately well-received Galaxy S21 FE (including with us) and a 2022 vintage which ultimately never saw the light of day, Samsung is preparing to come back to the charge with a new model. Fan Edition. Despite fragmented and sometimes contradictory information (especially with regard to the Exynos 2200 which would, surprisingly, be chosen to power it despite the problems noted for a long time with this SoC), a Galaxy S23 FE would be well in the boxes at Samsung. Today we learn a little more about the main photo sensor expected on the mobile.

According to information gleaned from specialized sites SamMobile et GalaxyClub, Samsung would install on its Galaxy S23 FE the same photo sensor as on the current “classic” S23. This would be good news a priori since this 50 Mpx wide-angle main module seemed to us to be generally effective during our Galaxy S23 test.

Towards a later launch?

This information is all the more welcome since the Galaxy S21 FE was content for its part with an “old” 12 Mpx main sensor. Switching from one photo module to another should therefore allow a significant gain in terms of photo quality on the future S23 FE… Still, we shouldn’t be able to judge for ourselves for quite a while.

According to GalaxyClub, if Samsung is progressing well on the development of its next folding smartphones, the development of the Galaxy S23 FE would be slower. The device could thus materialize by the end of 2023, or even the beginning of 2024, and not before. Understand that it is not excluded that Samsung will resume the same launch slot as for the Galaxy S21 FE in its time. The latter, for its part, was launched at the beginning of 2022.

Either way, the Galaxy S23 FE would come with 128 or 256 GB of storage and 6 or 8 GB of RAM, reports SamMobile. There would also be a 4500 mAh battery (the same as its predecessor), presumably compatible with Samsung’s 25 W fast charge.
