The Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF), chaired by Jorge Giménez, announced on Wednesday the departure of Italian coach Pamela Conti from the women’s teams in the under 20 and senior categories.

Conti spent five years (from 2019 to 2024) as technical director of La Vinotinto for seniors, and the same amount of time in the under-20 team, and left without winning titles.

With the eleven of seniors, whose great figure is Deyna Castellanos (attacker for Bay FC of the United States), they failed in their attempt to qualify for the Australia-New Zealand 2023 World Cup, which was won by Spain.

With the Venezuelan under-20 troop, the 42-year-old Italian had a better performance because he took it to the Colombia 2024 World Cup, in which North Korea was crowned.

That maroon squad, which included the striker Floriángel Apostol (Depor Abanca of Spain), could not advance from the group stage in the universal contest, held on New Granada soil.

The FVF thanked the European for the work done. It is expected that in the next few hours the entity will announce the person who will take the place of Pamela Conti, who as a player represented Italy in the 2005 and 2009 Euro Cups.
