The star guest of the RMS event was “digital guru” Sascha Lobo, who spoke regarding the positive sides of AI in his keynote speech. LEADERSNET.tv asked the media experts to what extent the new technologies will change the audio medium and how fear can become opportunities.
The Radio Research Day took place on Tuesday in the Palais Niederösterreich under the motto “The Future is HEAR”. The focus was on topics such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and ChatGPT.
No curse, no blessing
In his keynote speech, the German author, publicist, journalist and blogger Sascha Lobo highlighted the opportunities opened up by the new technologies related to AI and advised event visitors to take the positive aspects of technical change and development with them.
“Artificial intelligence will make audio and audio applications immensely scalable. Because suddenly things can be financed that might no longer be financed with moderators. This increases the quality of the programs and also the variety,” says Joachim Feher, CEO of RMS Austria.
Birgit Becher, Head of Media, Porsche Media & Creative, agreed LEADERSNET.tv: “Artificial intelligence is not a curse, but it is not a blessing either. AI has many advantages, but the new technology must be monitored very closely because data protection regulations also play a major role here. It is the task of people to see that everything is right. That cannot be completely taken over by the AI.”
satirical journey
The RMS event ended with the cabaret duo Flo & Wisch, who took a satirical journey through 25 years of private radio with their performance.
