Yesterday, the funeral of the Egyptian artist Sherif Shaker, who died the day before yesterday, was held following a struggle with cancer since 2019.
The funeral took place from the Hassan Sharbatly Mosque, following the noon prayer, and family and a group of friends were present, and Sharif’s brother collapsed.
The artist Sherif Shaker had revealed details regarding his infection with cancer while working outside Egypt for a long time, and the shock he experienced upon learning that he had the disease, and how he decided to confront and return stronger than before.
The deceased said in a previous television statement that he was fasting during the Eid al-Fitr pause when he learned that he had cancer, pointing out that following breakfast he decided to go to the studio to record one of the songs.
Sherif Shaker continued that the song was influential in his life because it expresses the challenge and determination to face difficulties with a brave heart, noting that following that he became stronger than before in the face of cancer.
Shaker’s last work was the song “Your Life Is Beautiful” in 2022.
