The funeral of the artist Ahmed Halawa to his last resting place

The body of the late artist Ahmed Halawa, from the Mosque of the Islamic Complex “B” in Sheikh Zayed City, was buried for his final resting place in the family cemetery in the Ghafir Cemetery on Salah Salem, following performing the funeral prayer for him.

And the artists Ashraf Zaki, Sameh Al-Saraiti, Issam Al-Saqa, Ihab Fahmy, Nihal Anbar, Mounir Makram, Amir Salah, artist Donia Samir Ghanem and her media husband Ramy Radwan were keen to attend the funeral.

His family is scheduled to receive condolences on Monday, at the Police Mosque in Salah Salem.

The artist, Ahmed Halawa, died at the age of 73, following a long struggle with complications from the emerging Corona virus “Covid-19”.

Ahmed Halawa is the nephew of actor Fayez Halawa. He was born in Cairo on January 7, 1949. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, specializing in Communications in 1969. He also obtained a diploma from the Leonardo Da Vinci Institute (Cairo) with a major in decoration, and a Bachelor’s degree from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts majoring in acting and directing. From the Academy of Arts in Cairo in 1973, and he did not stop there, but obtained a postgraduate diploma at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts, specializing in directing in 1990, and obtained a doctorate in Philosophy of Arts from the University of Theatrical Art and Film in Bucharest in Romania, whose subject was (comedy directing techniques). In Contemporary Egyptian Theatre) in 1994.

Ahmed Halawa worked as a theater teacher at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, and as a theater specialist in mass culture at the Ministry of Culture. He taught theater in the faculties of Specific Education, in addition to his work as a director at the National Theater, and artistic supervisor for the Vanguard Theater in 1994. He contributed to the establishment of the Department of Theater Sciences at the Faculty of Arts, Helwan University As a professor in the Acting and Directing Department, where he directed and composed many plays that represented Egypt in international and local festivals, and won many artistic awards.

Ahmed Halawa will participate in the movie “The Jeweler” by Mohamed Henedy and Mona Zaki, which is scheduled to be released during the upcoming Eid al-Fitr season, and the series “The Secret”, which is scheduled to be shown following the end of the Ramadan season.

Ahmed Halawa participated in the series “The Choice 2: Shadow Men”, which was shown in the last Ramadan season 2021, and last year he participated in the films “Some do not go to the authorized twice” and “Ahmed Notre Dame”.

Ahmed Halawa also participated in many famous works of art, including the series “Tears in Rude Eyes” in 1980, and the second and third parts of the series “Raafat Al-Hagan” in 1990 and 1992.
