Giuseppe Carbutti, alias “Peppino” to his relatives, was born in Oliveto Citra in Italy. He had just celebrated his 51st birthday on July 17, the day before his tragic death. When the accident happened, his partner was in the United States. She had to take an emergency flight back to Belgium when she heard the terrible news.
A very popular man
A graduate of the Catholic University of Louvain in 1996, Doctor Giuseppe Carbutti worked in several hospitals, before settling down at the CHR Mons-Hainaut.
