The CHR Mons-Hainaut has just lost one of its department heads. Giuseppe Carbutti, head of intensive care, died earlier this week. He was riding his motorcycle when he suffered a tragic accident, rue des Huit Ponts in Ciney. The motorcyclist did not manage to avoid a tractor… The emergency services intervened on the National 937 but might not do anything to save him.
Giuseppe Carbutti, alias “Peppino” to his relatives, was born in Oliveto Citra in Italy. He had just celebrated his 51st birthday on July 17, the day before his tragic death. When the accident happened, his partner was in the United States. She had to take an emergency flight back to Belgium when she heard the terrible news.
