Charles Beauchesne and François de Grandpré will present the show Stanley Colada: La justice des tropiques.
“It’s a radio novel, a bit à la François Pérusse. We’re talking regarding the adventures of a private detective in Hawaii who is a sort of parody of the macho heroes of the 1990s. We transport the character to today’s world where he is downright a dinosaur, where he no longer has its place. His sidekick is a woman who has to wear a mustache because he’s too sexist. It’s the clash of generations, ”he explains.
“It’s a human ode to our human imperfection in a heavenly setting,” adds Charles Beauchesne.
“The Fruity Adventures of Stanley Colada chronicles the investigations of the Pacific’s most famous detective duo, Stanley Colada and his sidekick Mr. Vicky (who is a woman, by the way), as they unravel tropical misdeeds on the fringes of the forces order on a vaguely Hawaiian island in the fictional Monokini Archipelago. Basically, surveys, big guns, sunglasses, surf, hammerhead sharks and colored drinks with a small umbrella…”, can we read as description of the show on the Zoofest website.
14e Zoofest & OFF-JFL
Montreal’s Zoofest and OFF-JFL festival is an opportunity for humor lovers to make new discoveries. Charles Beauchesne is also of the opinion that this is an important event for humor and the next generation.
“It’s important because it’s a showcase, it’s the place where we go to try business without constraints, where we present shows that we might not do elsewhere,” said he asserted.
Among the highlights of the event are the Womansplainning Show, the Bitchfest – hosted by Mona De Grenoble -, the 100th episode of the podcast by Marylène Gendron and Sam Cyr, Everyone hates each other, as well as the presence of French comedians including Laura Felpin, Djimo, Nordine Ganso and Edgar-Yves.
The 14th edition of the Zoofest & OFF-JFL festival will be held until July 29, 2023. For the complete program, click ici.
