The French Genevois, a land of misery for civil servants

“Teachers who sleep in their cars, we see that in Haute-Savoie”, says Emmanuel Fuss, the departmental secretary of the SE-Unsa teacher union. The scene repeats itself every school year. While waiting to unearth the miraculous dwelling, we sleep in the classrooms, in the back of the cars, in a mobile home or, a little better, by cramming three or four into a studio.
