The fourth season of the internationally successful political series “Borgen” will soon be available for the first time on German-language free TV.
Arte will broadcast the episodes with the subtitle “Power & Glory” on September 7th and 14th from 9:40 p.m., as the broadcaster announced on Monday. The Danish production follows the earlier episodes, but does not require any prior knowledge, as Arte emphasized. It will be in the Arte media library from September 7th to October 7th. In June last year, Netflix first showed season four.
In the new episodes, Birgitte Nyborg has obtained the post of Danish Foreign Minister. She faces challenges right from the start of her term in office: an oil discovery in Greenland leads to a power struggle between her and Prime Minister Signe Kragh. Explosive internals, which have penetrated from government circles to the new TV1 boss Katrine Fønsmark, decide on its course. Will Birgitte succeed in preventing oil production?
