Dr. Mohamed Nasr El-Din Allam, the former Minister of Irrigation, described the crisis of the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam as the “Ethiopian Al-Waksa Dam.”

The former Minister of Irrigation said, in a post on Facebook, that despite the announcement of the official Egyptian position on this dam, the “Renaissance Dam” by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, on more than one occasion, the crisis requires more positive action from officials at the technical and political levels. Legal and legal terms, with various international powers and with Ethiopia itself, faster and clearer demands and stronger criticism of Ethiopian policy.

Allam said on his personal page on “Facebook” that the passage of time is in favor of Ethiopia, and that Addis Ababa’s policy is to impose a fait accompli and must be confronted with international actions and moves that prevent this.

The former Minister of Irrigation stressed that greater and deeper moves must be made, at the level of China, Europe and Africa, to prevent the implementation of the fait accompli that Addis Ababa is trying to impose: “And we must pressure others as much as possible to change even part of their biased policies.”
