Nadina Díaz went to the Supreme Court to demand that her position as deputy notary of Villa Regina be restored. Before, he went through all the instances in the provincial jurisdiction without any luck. In all instances they rejected his request and made it impossible for him to return to a coveted position in the legal world such as notary offices.

The former Ombudsman of Río Negro questioned the constitutionality of the rule and the decree that displaced it, but the highest national court did not grant her request. Almost five years passed and Díaz took the lead in a provincial contest. Thus he was in a position to title any of the 13 notarial records that are vacant in the province.

The story is more or less like this: the lawyer was appointed as an associate of a Villa Regina notary office on November 30, 2010. But then she left the position to become Ombudsman between 2012 and 2017. during almost the two administrations of the current governor Alberto Weretilneck.

Despite his intentions to continue leading the Ombudsman’s Office, he did not have the support of the ruling party in the provincial Legislature and had to leave his position. There he began a long dispute with the Judiciary. She intended that with the cessation of her functions as her defender, she would be restored to the position of assistant in the notary office where she previously worked. The legal dispute lasted more than two years until the Court put an end to his aspirations.

It is a coveted position not only because of the financial wealth they manage but also because There are few positions to fill in the province. That is why Díaz entered the contest and obtained the highest score that allows him to become a title. He had already tried it in previous contests without success and even was registered for positions in the Judicial Council such as Family Judge.
