The Ford Ranger Platinum is at the top

The top model of the new Ford Ranger generation is called Platinum, offers a leather interior, special exterior details and is powered by a 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel with 240 hp (177 kW) and a ten-speed automatic. The drive from the F-150 mobilizes up to 600 Newton meters of torque and can tow loads of up to 3.5 tons. The Ranger Platinum can be ordered now at a price of 64,605 ​​euros. The vehicle will be available from late spring 2023.

The Ranger Platinum is only offered as a double cab and has an electronically controlled, permanent four-wheel drive (e-4 WD) as standard. In addition to the exclusive radiator grille, other features include a silk chrome finish, 20-inch alloy wheels, the soft-close tailgate, privacy glazing and characteristic daytime running lights in the adaptive matrix LED headlights. There is also a roof rail.

The interior features ten-way electrically adjustable, heated and cooled leather seats with contrasting stitching. Dark maple wood applications and ambient lighting are also part of it. The fully digital cockpit is characterized by two twelve-inch screens. The touchscreen for the Ford Sync infotainment system is oriented vertically. A modem is also available, as is a B&O sound system with ten loudspeakers. Also on board are the partially automated parking assistant and a 360-degree split view camera.

At the same time as the platinum equipment, the entry-level model, the Ford Ranger XL, can now also be ordered – optionally as a single cab, single cab chassis, extra cab or double cab. With its 170 hp (125 kW), 2.0-liter diesel and six-speed gearbox, it is aimed primarily at professional users in the construction industry or in forestry, as well as at rescue services. It is offered at prices starting at 40,210 euros (33,790 euros net). (awm)
