Representative Ghada Ayoub indicated that “Jezzine was in a state of thirst for sovereignty, and today the people’s will for change has been demonstrated, and to give its people a new opportunity.” She said in a television interview: “Jezzine was never far from the sovereign line, but it has transformed over the years, and now the people’s will has returned and has manifested itself, and we have seen a radical change in this region.”
She added: “The next government must confine the decision of war and peace to its own hands, and the Lebanese Forces will not participate in any government in the presence of Hezbollah in it, nor will it participate in a government of national unity, and we cannot resort to slogans that give a legitimate cover to an illegal weapon.”
And she stressed, “the need to conduct a serious study if there is a will of the incoming government to save the country, and there is a serious team in Parliament that arrived to monitor the government’s work,” pointing out that “it is in everyone’s interest to assign a new prime minister soon, and Lebanon does not have the luxury of time nor Hezbollah can veto any future president because it no longer has Christian cover.”
