About the protagonists of The Champion
The series stars Dani Rovira, and tells the story of a young university professor with a series of personal and financial problems that push him to accept a curious job. Alex (played by Rovira) becomes overnight the teacher of Diego, a young soccer star who has just been expelled for several games and has severe behavioral problems.
Alex was assigned as his personal ‘coach’ to turn the situation around, although the path will not be easy at all: neither the footballer is willing to be told what to do nor the teacher to do it.
Directed by Carlos Therón, the film features, in addition to Dani Rovira, a cast full of familiar faces and great promise.
