With the presence of 112 registered crews, of which 15 of them belong to Villa Carlos Paz, the 25th edition of the Flag Day Rally will begin this Saturday at 2:00 p.m., the fourth date of the Cordovan Rally Championship and organized by the Civil Association Rally Organizer (ACCOR) and the only date of the year that is held entirely on asphalt.
The test will have its launch point this Saturday on the ramp located in front of the World Rally Service Park and before the departure of the first car, there will be a tribute to two drivers who are relevant to the division.
One of them will be Marcos Sebastián Ligato, who recently retired from the activity in the Rally Argentina 2023, in Mina Clavero; and the other will be Ricardo “Lanchita” Bissio, who will say goodbye to the activity on his 69th birthday, following an intense career for the native of Villa Carlos Paz.
The initial stage of the Flag Day Rally will have two sections to go.
- PE 1 Cuesta Blanca-Rotonda de Copina, 6.93 kilometers from 15:48
- PE 2-Roundregarding-Guardaganado, 12.22 km from 15.13, respectively.
Fans will be able to enter the sections up to 90 minutes before the departure of the first car in the sector and they are asked to park their vehicles that do not interfere with the passage of the race.
The test will be reserved for the nine categories that make up the Cordobés Rally, gathered in these classes: Maxi Rally, A/1, N/2, N/3, N/1, RC2S, RC2N, RC5 and RC6.
It will be the second time that the Rally Cordobés competes entirely on asphalt.
