Present alongside the President of the Transition General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, during his Republican stay in Mouila, provincial capital of Ngounié (south) on November 2, Pierre Claver Maganga Moussavou, in a video posted on social networks , keen to make the public understand that this presence did not mean that he now agrees with the new constitution which will be submitted to a referendum on November 16.

“The first to know that I would campaign for no is Oligui Nguema”, said Mr. Maganga Moussavou, calling on his detractors not to confuse genres.

The former Mayor of Mouila said he was invited by the “President of the Republic and I could not say no” out of respect for the institution he embodies.

Not in favor of the new constitution, the former vice-president of the Republic was much mocked on social networks for having seen him alongside the Head of State in Mouila. For Internet users, the politician would have backpedaled again.

For him, despite their differences in approach, “This does not prevent us from working together and looking in the direction of development of the city of Mouila so that there are more amenities, that there are more jobs and that this city is much more attractive”.
