For Mark Gurman, the Bloomberg reporter famous for his indiscretions about Apple, the first beta d’iOS 16 intended for the public will be delayed. It will only be available in July, at the same time as the third beta version intended for developers. Usually, Public Beta 1 arrives almost at the same time as Developer Beta 2.
iOS 16’s first public beta is scheduled alongside iOS 16 developer beta 3 in July. First iOS public betas are typically released alongside beta 2. That means the public beta may be running behind. Current internal seeds are a bit buggy. Things are still fluid and could shift.

Thus, for iOS 15, the first public beta was released on June 30, 2021, six days after the release of the second developer beta. Developer beta 3 then arrived on July 14, 2021. If Apple maintains a similar schedule for iOS 16, the first public beta should therefore be released around July 14, a delay of about 15 days.
This gives Apple time to stabilize its operating system which, according to Mark Gurman, would still have too many bugs. Indeed, beta versions intended for developers are often unstable and the manufacturer wants its operating system to have a minimum of stability before offering it to everyone, even in beta version.

Anyway, the first beta of iOS 16 should be presented to developers during the WWDC 2022 conference, which will be held from June 6, 2022. At the moment, little information has leaked out about the new version. that Apple is preparing. Mark Gurman expects little change in the interface, but new tracking functions for health and activity, as well as changes in notifications. The manufacturer could also improve multitasking in the interface of iPadOS. However, we will have to wait until June 6 to find out what Apple has in its hat.
