Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs’s Israel Arabic account reacted to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s statements regarding Israel during an interview with “The Atlantic” magazine.
Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said that Saudi Arabia does not view Israel as an enemy, but rather as a potential ally in many interests. In Arabic, Israel said in its tweet: “Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said that Saudi Arabia does not view Israel as an enemy, but as a potential ally in many interests. This came during an interview he gave to @TheAtlantic magazine and published in Arabic by the Saudi Economic newspaper, in response to the possibility that the Kingdom would follow suit. The UAE is establishing relations with Israel.

In a separate tweet, Israel published in Arabic, “Excerpt from an interview with @TheAtlantic newspaper with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.”
In response to a question regarding Saudi Arabia’s intention to establish diplomatic relations with Israel, the Saudi crown prince said in the interview: “We hope that the problem between the Israelis and the Palestinians will be resolved. We do not view Israel as an enemy, but rather as a potential ally in many interests that we can pursue together.” But some issues have to be resolved before that can be reached,” he said.
