The first monument in Russia to the heroes of the military operation was opened in the Tambov region

Governor of the Tambov Region Maxim Egorov in his Telegramchannel announced the opening of the country’s first monument to the heroes of the special military operation. The monument was opened in the village of Zemlyansky, Inzhavinsky district, next to the local school.

The monument is a three-meter sculpture of a soldier with a machine gun, whose uniform has the Z symbol. According to Maxim Yegorov, the initiator of the creation was Roman Ganshin, a resident of Kotovsk, who lost a friend who participated in a special operation last year. Money for the monument was allocated by Tambov entrepreneurs and caring residents, and Alexander Paramonov and his assistant Alexander Podsivaka acted as sculptors.

Mr. Yegorov expressed his confidence that the monument would become a center for the patriotic education of local youth. According to him, on the examples of the heroes of the special military operation, the younger generation should be raised and learn on their own.

Monument in honor of the heroes of the special military operation planned erect also in Tambov. On February 22, next to the Victory Park, a foundation stone was installed on the site of the future memorial.
