Today, the first Lada Vesta rolled off the assembly line at the head plant of AVTOVAZ in Tolyatti. White restyled the station wagon was assembled in test mode: on this copy, the correct operation of the equipment and technologies transferred from Izhevsk was checked. This car will remain at the factory, in the future it will be used only for personnel training.
The transfer of production of Vesta from Izhevsk to Togliatti began in early August. This model will be assembled on the first line of the main conveyor, which until now has been entirely given over to the production of cars on the French B0 platform. However, of the entire family of models, only Lada Largus will remain on this bogie: the resumption of production is scheduled for the end of this year.
The full production cycle of the first test Vesta in Tolyatti took more than a month. The first three bodies were welded here October 13. Pilot assembly has begun October 26, and just today it rolled off the assembly line. It will take a few more months for the factory workers to debug serial production and solve logistical problems. The start of production of commodity West is scheduled for early spring 2023.
