The first generation sold 3 million copies, and the sequel to “Control 2” was released | 4Gamers

Control, developed by Finnish game developer Remedy Entertainment, announced the sequel, Control 2, with publisher 505 Games the day before, and is expected to launch on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.

“Control” won a total of eight nominations including Game Of The Year at the 2019 Game Awards (TGA), and finally won the best art direction. It can be said to be one of the representative works of this generation of independent games.

Control 2 is still in the conceptual stage, and only one intent map has been released. This work is determined to be developed using Remedy’s own Northligt engine. The console version is published by 505 Games, and the PC version will be self-published by Remedy.

The two CEOs of 505 Games, Rami and Raffi Galante, said in a joint statement that “Control” is the largest investment in 505 Games’ history, and has sold 3 million copies so far, so I’m looking forward to the launch of the second generation.
