The airline pointed out that as part of the celebration of this “iconic moment”, the traditional bathroom of the plane was carried out at takeoff. Aeroméxico’s operations at AIFA will consist of 14 weekly flights to the cities of Mérida and Villahermosa, which are added to the offer for those destinations from the Mexico City International Airport (AICM). He added that in accordance with the business plan that Aeroméxico maintains for the coming years, the company will continue working to maintain its position as the airline that offers the greatest connectivity within the country and in the main cities around the world. In this sense, he pointed out, the AIFA represents an opportunity for Mexico’s flagship airline to continue offering its customers more options to and from the center of the country. “We are very proud to be part of such an important event in the history of national aviation, such as the expansion of the airport infrastructure in the center of the country with the inauguration of AIFA. This allows us to continue providing more and better connectivity options to our customers in the Metropolitan Area and Mexico,” said José Zapata, the company’s Vice President of Sales in Mexico. Aeroméxico added that it flies with a new air and this stage begins with a connectivity network made up of 86 national and international routes, more than 460 daily flights and the strictest safety, health and hygiene protocols.
