To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the TV anime “Mobile Fighter G Gundam”, animation director Yasuhiro Imagawa has written a new novel, “Mobile Fighter G Gundam Gaiden: Tenchi Kusanagi”, Episode 1. “Mobile Fighter G Gundam” is a television anime series that aired from 1994 to 1995. The story is set in the “future century”, which is a different era from the “Gundam” universe. People have left the severely polluted Earth to colonize space. With the aim of resolving international disputes, fighters representing various countries compete on Earth in the “Gundam Fighting Championship” using Gundam machines. Domon Kasshu, the protagonist, represents New Japan in the tournament.
The events of “Mobile Fighter G Gundam Gaiden: Tenchi Kusanagi” take place before the opening ceremony of the 13th Gundam Fighting Finals. Domon and others who have joined the new Shuffle Alliance face questioning from fighters representing different countries regarding the purpose of the alliance, leaving them in a difficult position. As Domon and his master, Master Asia, perform martial arts to open the meeting, five mysterious Gundams calling themselves the “Dark Shuffle Alliance” appear…
Starting from the second episode, “The Amazement of the World” (July 12), the series will be updated every Friday at 17:00 on the official website. Character introductions with expressions added for the main characters will also be included.

Bandai Namco has also launched a new line of Hawaiian shirts inspired by the “Mobile Fighter G Gundam” series. The collection features two styles: the white “Blood Dyes the East Red” Kung Fu style and the black “King’s Style”. These shirts are available on the official e-commerce platform Premium Bandai, Gundam specialty stores, and Strict-G for 16,500 yen (including tax).

The Story of Mobile Fighter G Gundam
