The first during the reign of King Charles .. The British royal family celebrates Easter

King Charles and senior members of the British royal family gathered at Windsor Castle for a traditional Easter service on Sunday, the first of the new monarch’s reign.

Charles was accompanied by his wife, Queen Consort Camilla, and his son and heir to the throne, Prince William, his wife Kate and their three children, and they all walked from the castle to the nearby St. George’s Chapel.

Also in attendance was Prince Andrew, the king’s younger brother, who was relieved of his royal duties before a sexual assault lawsuit was settled in the United States last year.

This occasion is one of the few events in which all members of the royal family gather together in public, and it has a special impact this year as it is the first since the death of Queen Elizabeth and also coincides with the second anniversary of the death of her husband, Prince Philip.

It also coincides with the eighteenth wedding anniversary of Charles and his second wife, Camilla, in a ceremony at Windsor Castle in 2005.

As a king of the country, Charles is the honorary head of the Church of England, and The Mail on Sunday newspaper reported that there is a disagreement between the king and church leaders regarding the role that followers of other religions can play in the coronation ceremony of the king, which is a solemn religious event that will take place on the sixth of next May. .
