Abarth prepares to write a new chapter in its history with the launch in Argentina of the brand’s first SUV in the world.

The model is Abarth’s first SUV developed and produced at the Stellantis Automotive Center in Latam. The Pulse Abarth is equipped with the TURBO 270 engine, being one of the fastest in its category. It comes to the market with unique features, namely:

In its design it has a side stripe, a signature that provides speed and dynamism, it presents details in the red color characteristic of the scorpion brand. Its rearview mirrors and a line on the front fender also follow the same aesthetics and color. The distinctive ABARTH logos might not be missing and are present both on the side and on the front. It has side mirrors with built-in turns and exclusive 17″ Racing tires with mass relief, greater tread and wheel center with the scorpion.

On the front of the SUV there are also lines that highlight the model’s muscles, such as the upper application with carbon fiber design and the floating grille with dedicated air opening for greater efficiency. It also brings elements to improve aerodynamics, such as the lower and wider front bumper.

At the rear it features the spoiler, the ABARTH signature, a bumper with an air diffuser that reinforces the Racing DNA with an exhaust with a 3-inch double chrome outlet and the brand’s characteristic sound.

Interior

The exclusivity of its enhanced DNA is also marked on the blacked-out interior. The imposing scorpion symbol is present in 13 points, such as on the backrest of the seats, center of the steering wheel, badge on the panel, and even on the engine cover. Of course, the distinctive ABARTH color, red, might not be missing. The exclusive seats are made of black eco-leather with red stitching.

As if that were not enough, the center console makes the most of the space, with several storage spaces. The digital panel is customizable and presents the same sporty ABARTH aesthetic.

Performance

The Pulse Abarth has a six-speed automatic transmission and is equipped with the TURBO 270 engine with a power of 175 HP and a torque of 270 Nm.
with new calibration. It is capable of reaching 100 km/h in 8 seconds and its maximum speed is 210 km/h. Its power-to-weight ratio is 7.3 kg/CV.

Developed on the MLA platform, the Pulse Abarth brings specific modifications, such as a new gearbox calibration, that make the changes faster and sportier. The suspensions provide more stability and steerability with springs and shock absorbers that are up to 13% firmer.

The front suspension gained new geometry and a larger diameter stabilizer bar available for greater stability. The rear has an axle with greater torsional rigidity (+15%). Body roll has also improved, now 10% less which helps maintain stability at high speed.

Equipped with wider wheels (17”) for greater stability and grippier tires, The model also has a new, more direct and precise steering. The braking system is also resized so as not to lose its sports DNA. Even the engine sound is sportier thanks to the new exhaust system. To achieve this, painstaking work was done to achieve the perfect tuning for a vibrant and exciting sound.

Three driving modes

The Pulse Abarth offers three driving modes: Normal Mode with a focus on driving comfort, Sport Mode that provides versatility and personality by altering the engine and transmission parameters, and Poison Mode, exclusive to the brand, with a quick and poisonous response, much more fun to drive.

Abarth gives its touch of distinction to the Fiat Pulse.

Poison mode can be activated using a dedicated button on the steering wheel. It surprises with its steering load, which allows a firmer ride, with a more pronounced progression at higher speeds. It also activates Dynamic Torque Vectoring (DTV), a system that distributes torque to the wheels during cornering, making the vehicle more provocative and insinuating when maneuvering.

The calibration of the box changes, becoming more sporty, with faster changes and automatic gear reduction during braking, to help engine braking and anticipate placing the most appropriate gear to resume acceleration. Traction and stability controls become less intrusive, offering an even sportier drive.

Technology

The model is equipped with ADAS (advanced driving assistance systems) with the following functions: automatic light adjustment, lane departure warning and automatic emergency braking.

In addition, it has a automatic electronic parking brake with Auto-Hold, which keeps the brake applied following removing your foot from the pedal, providing greater driving comfort. The model is equipped as standard with stability control, traction control, front and side thorax and head airbags for driver and passengers, among others.

Among the equipment highlights is the Abarth-specific 7″ full digital cluster with information such as turbo pressure, G force and power on the main screen, automatic digital air conditioning, wireless cell phone charger, electrochromic rearview mirrors, rain sensor with automatic activation of the windshield wipers, remote start and Keyless Entry’n Go.

The range of colors available consists of four options, all combined with a black roof: Banchisa White, Strato Grey, Monte Carlo Red (with black side mirrors) and full Vulcano Black.
