The first comment from Laporta on Barcelona’s association with Mohamed Salah

Joan Laporta, president of Barcelona FC, spoke for the first time regarding press reports indicating their desire to obtain the services of the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah From the ranks of Liverpool at the end of the current season.

It is known regarding the current contract of Mohamed Salah with Liverpool that it will expire in the summer of 2023, without any agreement on renewal yet.

And the Liverpool administration failed to resolve the file of renewing Mohamed Salah’s contract due to their difference over the salary, as the Egyptian wants to obtain a salary that violates the salary ceiling in force at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah has been strongly associated with the possibility of moving to Barcelonawhere it was reported that he is on Xavi’s radar along with other players, such as Robert Lewandowski, Erling Haaland, and Kylian Mbappe.

Laporta had an interview with the Spanish “rac1”, where he was asked regarding Mohamed Salah and Lewandowski, and he replied: “They are two great players, all good footballers want to come to Barcelona.”

He was also asked regarding Halland and Mbappe, where Laporta explained: “Whoever wants to play for Barcelona can come here, neither of them said that to me, and their financial demands are in no way acceptable given our economic conditions.”
