The Iraqi poet Faiq Hassan broke his silence following the rumors circulated on social media regarding his divorce from his wife, Asala, and confirmed that they were not separated.
The rumors, which spoke of a separation between the two, less than seven months following the announcement of their marriage, had intensified following the appearance of Asala several days ago alone at the ceremony of the Egyptian National Museum.
Hassan responded, by publishing photos and videos of Asala’s participation in the ceremony on the page of the party planning and marketing company he owns on the “Instagram” website, and wrote under the photos and videos the phrase: “The originality is from the ceremony of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.”
In turn, Sham Al-Dhahabi denied the news of her mother’s divorce from Hassan, and said in press statements that all the rumors regarding her mother’s separation are incorrect, asking everyone to stop spreading such rumors.
The last appearance of the duo, Asala and Hassan, was at the wedding of Sham, the eldest daughter of the Syrian artist, Asala, and her former husband, producer Ayman Al-Dhahabi.
In a video that was widely popular on social media platforms, Ayman Al-Dhahabi appeared in tears at his daughter’s wedding, along with Asala’s current husband, the Iraqi poet Faiq Hassan, and the Syrian artist, comforting him.
