In total, more than 30 bodies with different coating options will be produced in Togliatti – from black bodywork to options coated with cataphoretic primer. All these bodies will go to Izhevsk. The restart of production of the model should take place in the second quarter of 2024.
The transfer of Lada Largus production to Izhevsk is connected, among other things, with plans to load the first line of the conveyor in Tolyatti, where in the short term it is planned to significantly increase the production of Vesta family cars, as well as to put on the conveyor the Lada Aura executive sedan and a new crossover on the Vesta platform.
The interruption in the production of Largus will allow Russian suppliers to master an additional range of components to increase the localization of production.
Earlier, AvtoVAZ restarted the production of a limited batch of Lada Largus at the site in Togliatti. In total, 650 cars will be produced there in August 2023.
