The distinguished young Bahraini woman, Nour Mohsen, the first Arab designer at Louis Vuitton, revealed in an exclusive interview with the LBCI website, her unique experience in the field of fashion, which is a dream for young women who wish to enter the world of high fashion.

Nour first spoke regarding the path she took to reach this dream, when she obtained a master’s or graduate degree at the Politecnico di Milano University in Italy, in the field of designing jewelry and accessories that include leather products, shoes, hats, etc….

After graduating from the Italian fashion capital Milan, the young Bahraini woman was inspired by her fellow students who had become part of huge international fashion companies such as Bulgari and others. She said that she decided to challenge herself to reach her dream, so she submitted her CV to a number of companies and got two offers, the first in Bulgari. As a jewelry designer and second at Louis Vuitton as a leather goods designer within the high-end bag series.

Nour added: “I chose to engage in my experience in the wide world of fashion with Louis Vuitton because I love the French city of Paris as it is the capital of fashion. I also chose the field of leather because I have sufficient knowledge regarding jewelry, so I decided to increase my knowledge regarding bags.”

She continued: “With Louis Vuitton, I was able to work on the fall and winter 2023 collections, which have been launched at the present time and are already on the market, and spring 2024, which makes me very happy.”

Nour Mohsen also worked on special edition bags, the most important of which is the Ramadan collection, which will be launched this year. She said: “With the experience I have gained, I have become specialized in high-end products and therefore bring new ideas in this field due to my previous experience in jewelry.”

Nour revealed that at the beginning of her career, she was residing in Paris, but she decided to move between Bahrain and Paris, and now spends most of her time in her country “for personal reasons.”

As for her latest work, Nour Mohsen created a new collection for the first time dedicated to the jewelry exhibition currently located in Bahrain in the Seef area in Manama. The group has a special edition that is exclusive to the exhibition only and is inspired by the Supreme Council for Women in Bahrain.

She said: “The idea that I am trying to convey through my group is to emphasize developing the present and preparing for a better future than the past, which includes the history of our country, our heritage, and our civilization, which I learned from Milan.”

The young Bahraini woman concluded her speech by saying: “I personally want to highlight my own abilities and not just as a young woman who works at Louis Vuitton. For this reason, I wanted to focus on my entire journey from beginning to end, adding my unique experience with the international house and the design studio that I recently acquired and all the things Which I want to achieve in the future.”
