The investigations showed that the first accused in this bribery case, is Muhammad Abdul Majeed Al-Ashhab “The Minister’s Divorce”.
And Hala Zayed’s son, through his accounts on the communication sites, published a video clip documenting the meeting of his mother, the Minister of Health, with the leaders of the ministry, in a family session at her home.
And the Egyptian Minister of Health appeared, according to what was monitored (Watan), while she was speaking to the audience and having a discussion with them, and she was wearing a household abaya with a head covering.

This came as part of her urging the leaders of the ministry, who attended the meeting, to pay attention to patients’ affairs.
And she continued, citing the example of one of the attendees: “When a prince goes to the convoy if he has a treatment or an operation at the state’s expense… I don’t consider the prince of the Egyptian shepherd to be part of the Ministry of Health.
Another person appeared in the meeting, praising the Minister of Health, as if he was currying favor with her: “Minister, when I caught the ministry, she was saying that we are the first. We called the Ministry of Health, not the Ministry of Disease.”
He added: “I am supposed to turn to the healthy, to keep them healthy.. I do not turn around to treat it.. I treat the eyes, but the main thing is to keep the healthy healthy.. That’s why she was working on public health initiatives.”

“Bribing the Ministry of Health”
The Egyptian Public Prosecutor had ordered the referral of 4 defendants in the case, including “the freedman of Hala Zayed” – the first accused – to criminal trial. He was accused of asking for 5 million pounds for himself and taking 600,000 pounds as a “bribe” from the owners of a private hospital through other defendants.
This came in exchange for Hala Zayed’s ex-wife, Muhammad Abdul Majeed Al-Ashhab, using his influence to obtain from officials in the ministry decisions and benefits related to not implementing the decision to close the hospital for its management without a license.
It is noteworthy that “Al-Ashhab” works as a senior specialist at Misr Life Insurance Company, and is 58 years old.
The details of the bribery scandal in the Ministry of Health became public last January, and at that time the Minister of Health disappeared in mysterious circumstances amid talk of her being placed under house arrest.
