The fire that broke out shortly after 6 pm on Tuesday, signaling an alarm to the Fire Service, was brought under partial control. The fire, which broke out from a so far unknown cause, is burning in an area with low vegetation in Lindos, on the island of Rhodes.
To put it out, 25 firefighters with 1 group of pedestrians from the 11th EMODE and 6 vehicles were mobilized immediately. Also, 3 aircraft and 1 helicopter were raised, while the firefighting work is assisted by local water tankers.

The Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection with an urgent notification through 112 invited those in the area to be ready and follow the instructions of the authorities.
