The 3rd Aegean International Short Film Festival “Theodoros Angelopoulos” with the theme “The Female Gaze”, organized by the municipality of Aegialia, is coming from June 24 to 30, 2024 at the wonderful Garden of the Polycentric Conference Center of Aegion! For 7 days, Aegio becomes the center of interest for cinema lovers with short film competition programs from all over the world, concerts, tributes, discussions and many surprises!

The participation of creators exceeded all expectations, since 257 films were submitted to the 4 competition programs of the festival (International Fiction Competition Program, International Documentary Competition Program, International Animation Competition Program, National Student Competition Program). 52 of them will be screened in the main program and will claim the awards of the committees, but also the Audience Award which adds an extra interest to the screening nights. The “Theodoros Angelopoulos” Award from the family of the great creator will also be awarded, the GSC Award for Best Cinematography from the Union of Greek Cinematographers (GSC), with which the festival has the honor to collaborate, as well as the OKLE Award from the Federation of Cinematographers Clubs of Greece.

The final list of films of the 3rd Aegean International Short Film Festival consists of 19 fiction films, 10 documentaries, 12 Animation and 11 student films.

The best films of each program, as evaluated by their 4 three-member jury, will win a cash prize of 1000 euros in the international sections and 500 euros in the National Student section.
