The horror film The Female Followers of the Devil Part 2, directed by director Rako Prijanto, will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting March 28 2024.
“In the film The Female Followers of the Devil 2, I want to explore more deeply the dark side of humans. How the desire for revenge can turn someone into a monster,” said Rako, quoted from a press release, Wednesday (27/3).
This film produced by Max Pictures is a sequel to the film Para Betina Follow Devil which was released in 2023. This film continues the story of Sumi (Mawar de Jongh), who is haunted by trauma after experiencing a terrible event and tries to live a normal life.
In the film The Female Followers of the Devil Part 2, Sumi tries to free herself from the terror of the devil and on her journey meets Asih (Sara Fajira) and Sari (Hanggini), who also have dark experiences.

Mawar de Jongh said the character she played in the second film was more sadistic than in the first film.
“Sumi’s character in the film Para Betina following the Devil 2 will be more sadistic than before. However, I feel that there are no serious problems with my character because after the scene is finished, (I) have returned to being Mawar,” he said.
Sara Fajira also talked about her efforts to explore the character of Asih, who is crazier than the other two characters, including by discussing it with the director.
“It turns out that Asih’s character is crazier than the other two females, she will do anything and will do whatever it takes to do anything,” he said.
Apart from Mawar De Jongh, Sara Fajira, and Hanggini, actors Adipati Dolken and Gusti Rayhan also played a role in the film Para Betina Pengfollow Devil 2. (Ant/Z-1)
