Marvel’s superhero film Deadpool and Wolverine, which had its world premiere on July 25, has been officially certified by GWR on ITV This Morning. The record was brought to the film by the trailer: in the first 24 hours after its release, it collected a staggering number of views — 365 million. The promo video was shown at the Super Bowl 2024 from February 11 to 12.

“What? One million for every day of the year, that’s so cool!”, producer, screenwriter and lead actor Ryan Reynolds commented on the result.

Reynolds recalled the moment co-star Hugh Jackman received his first GWR certificate on This Morning five years ago. In 2019, the performer of the role of Wolverine explained that setting a world record was a lifelong goal for him: “When I was a child, I dreamed of the Guinness Book of Records.”

That dream finally came true when Craig Glenday, editor-in-chief of the Guinness Book of World Records, awarded him the longest running career of a Marvel superhero.

In addition, Reynolds received a certificate as a co-owner of Wrexham Football Club. The record was set as the oldest international football ground in use for 147 years and 31 days as of 5 April.

“It means so much to me and my Welsh ancestors,” Reynolds said.

At the end of September 2022, Hugh Jackman announced in a humorous video that he will return to the role of the mutant Wolverine. He started training hard to have the superhero look again. The actor repeatedly built bulky muscles for the role of the mutant Wolverine. He admitted if he resorted to steroids to help himself get in shape.

Jackman showed training that helps to keep in good physical shape. But the Australian actor is not limited to sports alone. He admitted that he eats more than 8,000 calories every day and revealed exactly what his diet consists of. The role of Wolverine required Hugh not only physical strength, it damaged his voice. The movie star previously said that growling and shouting affected his ligaments, so he had to work a lot with a vocal teacher to restore his voice.

The new trailer for the film “Deadpool and Wolverine” broke the record of the Marvel universe. “Deadpool and Wolverine” was the first Deadpool movie created after Disney acquired Fox. Therefore, this will be the first Disney film with an R – Restricted rating – teenagers under 17 are allowed to watch only accompanied by a parent or legal representative.
