The fifth party is SYRIZA, who is leading for the leadership of PASOK

The New Republic is the first party, however recording a decline, according to news poll conducted by INTERVIEW on behalf of Politic.gr. In particular, New Democracy collects 22.2%, while the SYRIZA appears as the fifth party in voter preferences, with just 8.3%.

This position is historic low for the official opposition party, which is now behind the PASOK (11.7%), the KKE (8.7%) and the Greek solution (8,8%).

New Democracy still leads in voter preferences, but with a significant drop from 31.2% in December 2023 to 22.2% in August 2024. SYRIZA remains low, with its intention to drop to 8 .3% from 13%, while PASOK remains stable at around 11%.

79% of respondents evaluate the government’s work negatively, while only 19% express themselves positively.

At the same timeKyriakos Mitsotakis maintains first place in popularity with 29.8% positive opinions, however 68.3% of citizens evaluate him negatively. Dimitris Koutsoubas and Zoe Konstantopoulou they follow with 28.2% and 24.7% positive opinions respectively, although both also have high percentages of negative opinions (63.8% and 67.9%).

The highest rates of dissatisfaction collected by Nikos Androulakis (81.6%), Stefanos Kasselakis (81.6%), Kyriakos Velopoulos (79%) and Dimitris Natsios (78.8%).

To the question of who is considered more suitable for prime ministerKyriakos Mitsotakis leads with 35%, while Stefanos Kasselakis and Nikos Androulakis collect 11% and 6% respectively. However, one in two (48%) respondents do not consider any of the candidates more suitable for the prime ministership, which underlines the general skepticism towards the political leadership.

Haris Doukas is ahead for president of PASOK

In the upcoming internal party elections of PASOK-KINAL, Haris Doukas seems to prevail with 26.3%, while Nikos Androulakis collects 22.7%. Anna Diamantopoulou (18.4%) and Pavlos Geroulanos (17.4%) follow with a high percentage.
