A female passenger died following allegedly falling from an elevator at an Indonesian airport. The body of the woman was found 3 days later due to the stench. The woman was identified as Ayesha Sunta Devi, who was 38 years old.
According to the spokesperson of the airport, when checked, the elevator was running normally, the dead woman’s body has been sent to a local hospital for post-mortem.

According to the foreign news agency, in the CCTV footage before the woman fell down from the elevator, it was seen that the woman entered through one of the doors of the elevator and following standing for a long time pressed the button and later on her body. She got busy looking at her mobile phone. The woman made a phone call in distress and then waited for the door to open. When the door opened and the woman was leaving, she fell into the void outside the door and remained on the elevator shaft for 3 days.
The family members of the woman say that Ayesha had called her niece and informed her that she was allegedly trapped in the lift. The woman’s brother, Raja Hasibwan, says that this is an international standard airport, and the response given by the staff is very frivolous and very unsatisfactory. The woman’s brother blamed the elevator’s poor security measures for the death.
On the other hand, the police have questioned 12 people regarding the incident and more staff members are also being interrogated so that the matter can be resolved and the actual cause of Ms.’s death can also be known.
