The head of the interregional public movement “Healthy Choice” Alexander Korsunov turned to the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko with a proposal to adopt the so-called “Chubais Law”
On official website organization explains that the project involves a ban on the right to hold public office to officials who quit and went abroad. Civil servants who fled after the start of Russia’s special operation on February 24 should be blacklisted and banned indefinitely from holding public office in the future.
“It should be emphasized that this bill concerns only officials, employees of state corporations, employees of state media and deputies of various levels. The bill should not apply to other categories of citizens – otherwise we will not be able to avoid a “witch hunt” and attempts to settle business accounts in this way,” Alexander Korsunov specified.
In his opinion, the “Law of Chubais” will clearly reflect the position of the Russians in relation to officials who, during a special military operation in Ukraine, fled abroad to “sit out” there.
