The federal and state governments discussed the current CoV situation today and, among other things, discussed an end to the quarantine for infected people. As expected, no decisions have been made, it is expected that the federal government will announce a relaxation or the end of the quarantine at the Summer Council of Ministers on Wednesday.
The considerations in this regard caused trouble in the SPÖ-governed states of Vienna, Carinthia and Burgenland. The three federal states complain that they have repeatedly not been informed by the government and have learned from the media regarding the planned end of the quarantine. A draft regulation was announced a few days ago, according to which only traffic restrictions should apply to people infected with CoV in the future.
Drexler for quarantine off, Ludwig once morest it
The Styrian Governor Christopher Drexler (ÖVP), for example, spoke out in favor of an end to the quarantine. Vienna’s Mayor Michael Ludwig (SPÖ) is once morest the end of the measure.
