Nothing beats these aspens: FC St.Gallen won 3-0 in Sion without a fight

FC Sion 0, FC St.Gallen 3: The final result of the game in front of 4800 fans in the cold tourbillon left nothing to be desired in terms of clarity. Victor Ruiz with a hand self-kick and Jérémy Guillemenot after a fantastic counterattack on a Ruiz cross put the eastern Swiss side on the road to victory early on between the 26th and 30th minutes.
Julian von Moos then put the lid on with the 3:0 after almost an hour.

It seems to be a hallmark of FC St.Gallen, second half of the season 2021/22, that he doesn’t even have to play outstandingly to win a game by three lengths. If the once again excellent Espen keeper Lawrence Ati Zigi hadn’t intervened decisively several times before, Sion would probably have scored a goal and come back into the game in that phase.
St.Gallen’s record of the second half of the season: seven wins and three draws
After the final whistle, the St.Gallen players were able to celebrate points 22, 23 and 24 in this successful second half of the season. The FCSG remains the team of the hour – no: the second half of 2021/22. After the FCZ lost a point in the Zurich derby early on Saturday evening and the victory in Valais, the St.Gallen are now the most successful team of 2022. The Espen have now recorded seven wins and three draws this calendar year – with a goal difference of 29:10.
