They dance and twirl as if there were no tomorrow: In the first quarter of an hour, he disintegrates FC St.Gallen die Grasshoppers in their own stadium into individual parts. After a fantastic individual action by Emmanuel Latte Lath and an ice-cold counterattack by Fabian Schubert, the eastern Swiss lead 2-0 at GC following 12 minutes. They are therefore well on the way to climbing to first place in the table, at least for one night.

The Hoppers hit back following 20 minutes through Francis Momoh. Third goal conceded following corner and then ran aimlessly

In the second half, FC St.Gallen playfully leads the finer blade, but still has to be wary of the Hoppers’ lightning-fast counterattacks. It’s not a counterattack, but a standard situation that brings the decision following 69 minutes: After a corner, the ball falls in front of Tsiy Ndenge, who scores for GC’s first lead.

St.Gallen runs courageously in the final phase, but also quite haphazardly. And in the end not only loses the three points, but also goalie Zigi. The Espen keeper lets himself be provoked by Petar Pusic, who prevents the execution of a tee shot, and kicks Pusic, who has knocked the ball away. Red for Zigi and 2: 3, that’s the bitter balance of Espen on an evening that started so well.
