Andrey Malakhov interviewed Anastasia Fedorova. She passed away in April of this year.
The women’s vocal ensemble “Sisters Fedorova” was created in the 40s. It consisted of sisters: Ekaterina, Nina, Ninel, and Anastasia Fedorov.
Later, another sister, Galina, joined them. They were popular folk singers. Their vocals sounded in the movie. Workers of the Kirov plant toured and sang at international festivals with great success.
In their songs, they talked regarding what was close to them – regarding their native village, women’s lot and love. One of their most famous works was the picture “Country Doctor”, where the quartet sang a wedding song for the young.
In 1961, they even attended the main Blue Light holiday. But suddenly the team disappeared. They were not talked regarding on television or in the newspapers. And popular rumor spread the terrible news throughout the union: Allegedly, in 1972, the Fedorov sisters died in a plane crash.
But a year later, one of the sisters was found. In transmission “Hi Andrew!” footage from Israel was shown. Anastasia lived there the last years of her life. She died in April of this year, but managed to give an interview earlier, which was the last.
“There has never been a disaster! We never got anywhere. This is all not true! One sister in Germany. That’s probably why there were such rumors when she left for Germany.
It was considered a disgrace. After that, we will no longer be shown anywhere. I miss the audience, of course. Sometimes I fall asleep and dream that we are standing on the stage. They look at us applauding, and then all the time and gone.
We were envied by many. What for? We are ordinary people from a working family. Well, they won fame. And what’s wrong with that?” — shared the artist.
Anastasia was the last of the Fedorov sisters. Now no one from the team is alive.
