New Delhi: Pappan Singh Gehlot is a farmer who is in the news for sending his laborers back to their homeland during the travel crisis due to the 2020 Covid lockdown. 55-year-old Pappan Singh was found hanging in a temple in Delhi on Wednesday.

Pappan Singh’s body was found hanging from the ceiling fan of the temple in front of his house in Alipore area of ​​Delhi. The police have also found a suicide note citing illness as the reason for suicide.

Police said further investigation will be done. When migrant workers were stuck in different parts of the country due to the lockdown, Pappan Singh Gehlot sent his workers home by plane, which was a big news in the national media. After the Covid crisis eased, the workers were transported from their homeland to their place of work by plane.
